What Install Day Looks Like
Most single and double residential doors are a same-day job. Plan on the garage being open and unusable for a few hours, so move your cars out and clear about three feet of space along the walls and in front of the opening before we arrive.
The old door comes down first, panel by panel, along with the old track and springs. The new track and hardware go up, then the panels go in from the bottom section upward. The springs are wound and tuned to the exact weight of your new door, which is what makes it feel light by hand and easy on the opener. After that we reconnect the opener, reset its travel and force settings, align the safety sensors, and test the auto-reverse.
Custom wood, oversized doors, and full-view glass take longer, and openings that need framing or track modifications can add time. If anything unexpected shows up behind the old door, you hear about it and approve the cost before we continue.
